Proposed Songs for General Synod 2025

General Synod Guelph 2022 provisionally approved for testing in the churches (optional use in the worship services) the songs as updated and recommended by the SCBP in the Supplements 1 and 2 of its report. (Acts GS Guelph 2022, Art. 111, 3.1).

Members of Council, Music and Audio-Visual Committees in the Canadian and American Reformed Churches who will be facilitating the evaluation of material submitted to the churches by the Standing Committee for the Publication of the Book of Praise are invited to request an account to access the PDF documents and feedback surveys.

ALL OTHER MEMBERS are asked NOT to request an account, but to speak to their Church Council about participating in the testing process. If you have a copy of the Trinity Psalter Hymnal, you can find many of the proposed songs there. Please note, however, that some songs are not identical to the version found in the Trinity Psalter Hymnal. If you would like to practise singing any of the recommended songs, please request a copy from your council, or the person appointed by your council for that purpose.
